Dallas Open Tennis Tournament
The Dallas Open is an annual indoor hard court competition part of the ATP Tour. Set in Dallas, the tournament venue is the Styslinger/ Altec Tennis Complex located on the campus of Southern Methodist University. The tour belongs to the ATP 250 category and this year marks the third edition of the event since its resurrection in 2022. Previously, the Dallas Open was a defunct event with its last and only edition having been held 41 years ago in 1983.

Dallas Open 2024 Results
In the singles, Homestar Tommy Paul defeated fellow star Marcos Giron in the final in three sets 7-6, 5-7, 6-3. Tommy wins his 2nd career ATP Title (1st was in 2021 at Stockholm). While in the doubles, Aussie pair Max Purcell and Jordan Thompson pleayed final against William Blumberg and Rinki Hijikata and defeated them in three sets match 6-4, 2-6, 10-8. It’s the Aussie pairs 3rd ATP title together all coming in the USA.

Dallas Open 2023 Results
In singles championship, Wu Yibing win final after nail biting match against Homestar John Isner. John defeated by WU in tie breaker 7-6, 6-7, 7-6. This is 5th time where John reach final in tie breaker. Wu Yibing became the first Chinese player to reach an ATP Tour final and win his maiden final, rallying for a three-set victory over top-seeded American Taylor Fritz in the Dallas Open on Saturday night.
the double champions of Dallas Open are the British Jamie Murray and the New Zealander Michael Venus who conquered the ATP 250 , thus winning the first title of the year and in their career together.
Dallas Open History and Previous Winners
History
The Dallas Open returned to the tour only after the tennis tournament in Uniondale, New York was relocated to Dallas, Texas. The original Dallas Open then called the Paine Webber Classic was held for one year in 1983. This initial tournament was played outdoors unlike today’s indoor event. It was the successor of the Denver Open but it was extremely short-lived. As the tournament lost its sponsorship, the Dallas Open was canceled.

There will be 28 singles and 16 doubles draws that will be released as the tournament progresses. 4 qualifiers will join main draw after playing qualifying knockout matches.

Tickets or the Dallas Open can be purchased online from Southern Methodist University’s online ticket office. Tickets come as day/ night session tickets that are only applicable for a session or as a weeklong and weekend pass that applies for the whole duration of the event and the last 3 days respectively.
