The Chengdu Open, which debuted in 2016, joins Zhuhai, Beijing and Shanghai as Chinese hosts during the ATP Tour’s Asian swing. 5th edition will take place from 20 September and final will play on 26th September. Along with Zhuhai, Astana, Beijing, Shanghai and Tokyo, it is one of six ATP tournaments held during the Asian swing after the US Open.

Chengdu Open Tennis Tournament

This is a men’s tennis tournament to be played on outdoor hard courts. It will be the 5th edition (the first since 2019) and part of the ATP Tour 250 series of the 2023 ATP Tour. It will take place at the Sichuan International Tennis Center in Chengdu, China.

ATP Chengdu Open 2023 Results

German star Alexander Zverev got final victory against the Russian Roman Safijuljin with 6:7 (2:7), 7:6 (7:5), 6:3. Alexander Zverev won the 21st trophy in his career in Chengdu, but a much more important moment than the triumph itself is his feeling. He won 2nd title of the year (German Open in July). He is now Just behind Djokovic, Nadal and Murray in active players titles race.

While in the doubles, Sadii Doumbia and Fabien Reboul win at ChengduOpen. Seed No. 1, they beat Francisco Cabral and Rafael Matos, seeded No. 2, in three sets 4-6, 7-5, 10/7. This is their very first trophy on the circuit

Chengdu Open History and Winners

It was a new tournament added to the 2016 ATP World Tour and replaces the ATP Malaysian Open event held in Kuala Lumpur. After 2019 edition, event was not held due to covid-19 and in 2023 its back after 3 years.

Chengdu Open 2023 Draw

The event will have 32 singles and 16 doubles draws that will be released as the tournament progresses. 4 qualifiers will join 28 singles main draw entries in 1st round.
