- No Canadian-born male has won the Canadian Open in history.
- Ivan Lendl has won the Canadian Open 6 times (record).

ATP Canadian open is the oldest men’s tennis tournament in the world, only Wimbledon has been longer than it. Before 2011, ATP and WTA were held on 2 different weeks in the same venue but after that, both events were held on the same week but on different venues- Toronto and Montreal.
Both Events switch their venues from year to year. Since 2021 rules have changed, now in even number years ATP is held in Montreal and WTA in Toronto and vice versa in odd number years.
