The 2023 Canadian Open championships (branded as the National Bank Open presented by Rogers for sponsorship reasons) are outdoor hard-court tennis tournaments to be played from 7–13 August 2023. ATP event will take place at Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It will be the 133rd edition of the men’s tournament
ATP Canadian open (currently known as National Bank Open Presented by Rogers) is the oldest men’s tennis tournament in the world, only Wimbledon has been longer than it. Before 2011, ATP and WTA were held on 2 different weeks in the same venue but after that, both events were held on the same week but on different venues- Toronto and Montreal.

ATP National Bank Open 2023 Results
In the singles, First gold at Masters 1000 level for Jannik Sinner. The Italian wins the Toronto tournament after beating Alex De Miñaur (6-4, 6-1) and wins his first major title. The 21 year-old Italian conquers the most important title of his career in Toronto, after the two finals lost in Miami in 2021 and 2023. He becomes the second Italian to celebrate a Masters 1000 after Fognini, who triumphed in Montecarlo.
While in the doubles championship, The duo of Marcelo Arévalo and Jean-Julien Rojer proclaimed champions of the Toronto Masters after defeating Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram 6-3 and 6-1. With the obtaining of this trophy, the Salvadoran Marcelo Arevalo adds his ninth title in his sports career and the first Masters 1000 and in this year 2023 it is the second tournament they have won together with their sports partner, after they obtained the Delray ATP250 in February Beach, where they are two-time champions.

National Bank Open 2022-2021 Champions
In 2022, Pablo Carreño Busta defeated Hubert Hurkacz in the final, 3–6, 6–3, 6–3 to win the men’s singles tennis title at the 2022 Canadian Open. Whereas in doubles championship, Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski defeated Dan Evans and John Peers in the final, 6–2, 4–6, [10–6] to win the men’s doubles tennis title at the 2022 Canadian Open
In 2021 singles championship, Russian star Daniil Medvedev defeat Reilly Opelk of USA in the final. Medvedev won the title with straight sets 6-4, 6-3. Medvedev is the only 2nd Russian player after Marat Safin in 2000 to win this event in a long history of the National Bank Open. In doubles Championship, American star Rajeev Ram and British star Joe Salisbury won the doubles championship. The winning pair defeat Croatian pair Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic in the final by 6-3, 4-6, 10-3.
ATP Canada Open History and Winners
The first ATP Canadian Open held in 1881 at Toronto Lawn Tennis Club, Canada. Since its start ATP Canadian open has had different names due to sponsors like Canadian Championships (1892-1967), Canadian Open (1968-1996), Du Maurier Open (1997-2000), Canada Masters (2001-2004), Rogers Cup (2005-2019) and National Bank Open (2021- present).

- Ivan Lendl has won the Canadian Open 6 times (record).

In 2023, total commitment of ATP Canada Open is $7,622,925 whereas total prize money will be$6,600,000. Singles winner of Men’s champion will receive $1,019,335 and doubles will have $312,740.
In 2022, total prize commitment is $5,926,545 while in 2021 total prize money was $2,850,975.
